Parents, would you send your child to be trained by a Witchdoctor?

Updated: Nov 16, 2022

This weekend I saw that the mentally ill TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney interviewed our President,

and they talked about children having the right to choose whether or not they should take

puberty blockers. President Biden said that states that block children from access to gender

reassignment procedures are immoral. What the media won’t tell us is that the drugs that are

used for ‘blocking purposes’ are actually chemical castration drugs used on sex offenders as a

form of punishment. How in the world do we, as human beings, not see this as absolutely wrong?

What we are doing in our culture is glorifying wickedness and our children are paying the price. Stick with me, I’ll get you to where I’m going, I promise. I’m not going to just call this mental illness; I’m going to go a step further and call it demonic activity. 1 Peter 5:8 says, Your

adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. The devil is looking for human souls to consume, devour, and completely overpower. In a sermon I preached last weekend I said that the devil is actively engaged in a war to destroy humanity. One of the first places attacks is our children. Many “Christian” parents are ignoring the bombs that are being lobbed into their living rooms via social media and in regular media under the guise of entertainment. Our children are gifts, blessings from the Lord Jesus Christ. They are our responsibility. Sadly, most, if not all, of us have abdicated our reasonability to the state and to the media. Statistics show that 8 out of 10 “Christian” students leave the faith after their freshmen year of high school. As Voddie Baucham has said, “when you send your children to Caesar, don’t be surprised when they come back as Romans.” In fact, Luke 6:40 says ‘A student is not superior to his teacher; but everyone, after he has been completely trained, will be like his teacher. The goal of our pagan education system is to indoctrinate our kids into a worldview that does not line up with the Bible. We have Christian teachers in the public school system. However, each passing day it becomes more difficult for someone who works in the public school system to live a godly life in light of the truth of scripture and the lordship of Christ. If they are living that way, they risk their job every day. What is overwhelmingly the norm is that the public school educator is a lost person who does'nt know Christ. Often, it is pagan educators that run our schools and classrooms.

Let me ask you a question dear Christian parent, if you lived in Africa would you send your child to school to be taught and influenced by a witch doctor? One that taught it was OK to mutilate small children and use their private parts to perform religious ceremonies? OF COURSE, YOU WOULDN’T. It’s disgusting to even think about this kind of hellishness. Furthermore, there are Christians who are actively working to try and end this type of evil. So why would you send your child to a government run education system that OK’s and approves of gender reassignments? Why would you trust a public classroom that promotes teachers influencing your child’s thinking on gender, and sexuality, one that would encourage children to look into chemical castration drugs to achieve some type of gender reassignment?

The transgender movement is just as hellish as witchdoctors in Africa. Yet some Christian parents are more concerned about their weekly routines, their kid’s sports schedules, and making sure their lattes are just right, than actively being engaged in their children’s mental and spiritual development. We are sending them to be trained, educated, and indoctrinated by those who hold a worldview that is hostile toward the truth of the Bible.

And what’s worse is that when our children are home, they are being trained and educated on social media as well. Instagram and TikTok are breeding grounds for this type of filth. We wonder why our children are leaving the faith in droves. It’s because we’re not actually doing what the scriptures call us to in Proverbs 22:6 (Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.) Rather, what we are doing is allowing someone else to train our children, and when they are older, they won’t depart from that worldview. This must change.

What’s the answer? Christian parents, get involved in your child’s understanding of the world around them. Take seriously the call of Christ. This means you’ll have to get trained in Biblical matters as well and that’s not a bad thing. We are called to ‘train ourselves in godliness’ because it holds value in THIS LIFE and in the LIFE TO COME. Christian parents, get with your pastor and ask him to help you to train your home for Godliness. Start reading solid biblical teachers like John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, RC Sproul, and Voddie Baucham. Men, if you’re looking for a solid resource to study your bible get a hold of LOGOS bible study tools. Get plugged in with your pastors and bug them to get you some training on how to lead your families. Surround yourself with a group of biblically wise men. You go to movies, concerts, and other leisure activities, what would it look like if you spent money, time, and resources on going to conferences that help you know how to lead and train your family in godly things?

I mean let’s look at the facts, we’ve ignored the things of God for decades, and look at where our families have ended up. The answer is to get involved and engaged in the things of God. That means fathers stop being hands-off when it comes to the spiritual training of your children, and furthermore get trained yourselves so that you can train your kids. Mothers, do the same thing. Start studying the Bible, get access to SOLID biblical resources (I’ve mentioned some solid teachers above). Commit to family worship and family devotional time at home. IMMERSE YOURSELF in what God has called you to do as a parent. Make family prayer time a priority. Make reading your Bible a norm and reward your kids for when they read the Word or do some type of Bible study. Ultimately, obey the calling to disciple your children. Be obedient and trust Christ with the outcome. He is faithful. Don’t wait until your kids are grown and look back wishing you would have taken it seriously. Start today!
