This Lord's Day Was a Good Reminder...

Today is Sunday and that's the LORD's DAY. I am thankful to the LORD for the dedication for the saints to gather and worship and be edified together in a corporate gathering.

The fact of the matter is that every day that passes by we are one day closer to the return of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Now I'm not a crazy date setter, but I am a pastor that believes we should do as Hebrews 10:23-25 tells us to do.

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

We are to hold fast to the confession of our hope in Christ and to stir our fellow brothers and sisters up towards LOVE AND GOOD WORKS and not neglecting to get together and worship the Lord as a body. I have said it for a long time if we believe that Jesus is coming a second time we had better point about talking about the first time He came to redeem and reconcile us to Himself.

Today as we worshiped together and took the Lord Supper together it reminded me of how gracious and good Jesus has been to me. I deserve his full wrath, but I am so thankful for His grace and mercy. And as we sang and read the word today it stirred my affections for HIM even more. So tonight as we calm our hearts and prepare to rest don't forget to reflect on how good God has been to you and as a result of that goodness press even more into Him and His word in order to be satisfied and set apart for his glory and for your good. Don't forget you're here on purpose. Don't waste your time.

I love you all!

Good night!
